I Have Done What I Wanted to Do
It took me until the last thirty minutes of my shift, but I did get what I wanted to get done today with my Treasure Finders movie Treatment. At least the fourth Act of it. Which is what I wanted to accomplish yesterday. True, I was hoping that I would have done a little more, but I had some trouble writing these twenty regular scene paragraphs. About twenty-five, if you include the Establishing Shot paragraphs, but I don’t think I had any trouble with them, though. I usually don’t when it comes to the ESs.
So, what kind of problems did I have with my movie Treatment yesterday? Not a lot, but I did have a few of them. I believe all of them was with the five-line paragraphs. Don’t think I had a problem with the ten-line ones, but I might have had one with one or two of them. Most of my problems were with the fives. What kind of problems did I have with them? The usual ones. I knew what I wanted to say from the one sentence sentences, but I didn’t know how to write them exactly. More than one of them I had to rewrite at least twice. Most of them were three to five times or more. Don’t think I had any that I rewrote five times, but there might have been one or two of them maybe.
I also had a problem with my Scene Headings. There are two things wrong with them. One is that the times of day need to be adjusted. When I first started this timeline it was for an eight-person team. That team does exist, but this is where it started. What that means is that I need to adjust the timelines for the first half of this movie Treatment because most of the times are after dark. The second half should be okay, but I may have to adjust that too. I’ll know about that once I start writing the second half of this movie Treatment.
The second problem I have with my Scene Headings is with the order of the scenes. I kind of did them backward. Especially when it comes to the regular Scene Headings. Those shouldn’t be too hard to adjust, though. Even the timelines shouldn’t be a problem once I get them sorted out on my spreadsheet. After I do that all I need to do is transfer them to my Scene Headings. Which may be a problem depending on their length. Right now, the times-of-day go well with the Scene Headings I have written so far. That may change my wording for the rest of the line because of the new times. I don’t think that it will be that big of a problem, but it may be.
Originally, I was going to continue working on the second half of this Treatment for the next couple of days during my days off from work. I still may be able to do that on Tuesday. Then again, maybe I won’t be able to get it done in one day. I’m not even sure I will be able to do it in two days. I should be able to do it. A lot depends on how much time I have working on them.
If I don’t have too much to do outside of my writing, then I should get it done. I think that I will. I’m just not sure how long it will take to do it. However long it takes I will start on the second half of this movie Treatment once I get it done.
