The Last Saturday in 2018

It's the last Saturday in 2018, and the beginning of a new writing week for me. My goals to do list runs seven days, from Saturday to Friday. This week, it will take me a couple of days to redo the list because the Gregorian year begins on Tuesday, January 1, and I need to post the list on "Weekly GoalsOpen in new Window. on Monday, December 31. On Monday, "I Write in 2019Open in new Window. begins and, this coming year, I will place all or most of my contest entries in "Snow's Writing for 2019, 2020, & BeyondOpen in new Window..

Goodreads has a writing challenge each year. Do you participate in the challenge? How important to writing is reading other author's work? Do you read only books in your writing genre or do you mix it up?

My reading for the past few months has been reading and reviewing on writing.com, and reading the books I have here at home of an evening. I didn't put any reading goal on my 2019 Goals To Do List; however, I will consider that when I reevaluate the list in March. In the mean time I will continue my reading schedule the way I'm doing it, because it works well most of the time.
