December the twenty-third – Movie Outline Not Even Done
Movie Outline Not Even Done

This might be another short Blog entry. Then again, it might not be. I do this a lot, don’t I? Sometimes I think that this is going to be a short Blog, but it usually isn’t. then it turns out to be a long one. It sometimes is one of my longer ones. I write these off the top of my head. Who knows how this will end. It might end up being a short one and it might end up being one of my longer ones. If not the longest one I have ever written.

See what I mean. I only intended the first paragraph to be only about five lines long. It turned out to be a lot longer than that. Once I start typing my fingers take over and who knows what will end up being displayed on this laptop. Even this paragraph doesn’t even make any sense, does it? What does all this have to do with what writing I did yesterday? Nothing at all. I’m just rambling like I always do.

What did I do with my Treasure Finders project yesterday? Not much, unfortunately. I was hoping that would get my movie Outline done yesterday, but I didn’t. In fact, I barely got the first three Acts plus the Teaser Act done. Why didn’t I get more of it done? That’s a very, very good question. Too bad I don’t have an answer to it.

I’d like to blame it on work, but I can’t do that. That’s because work was very slow today. In fact, it was even slower than it usually is on Saturday. I’m a little bit surprised about that, but not too surprised about it. I figured it would go one of two ways. Either it would be busier than normal since it’s so close to Christmas or it would be super slow. It was super slow.

If it wasn’t work, then what was the problem? I’ve been thinking a lot about that since I left work. Especially, on why way home from work. I think I know what the problem was. It’s the planner in me. There isn’t a pattern to my scripts except for the format industry standards, but when it comes to both my Outlines and Treatments there is one. I had a lot of trouble keeping my line numbers the way that I wanted them to be. That’s why I got so little done today.

What does that mean for today and next week? It means I’m not going to be getting my Outlines written this weekend. I’ll be lucky if I can get the movie Outline done before Monday. I should be able to finish it up today, but I’m not sure. After all, I did almost get about half of it done yesterday. If I can do that, I will start working on my episode Outlines on Monday and Tuesday. Don’t know if I will be able to get them done by the time I go back to work on Wednesday, but I should be able to do them. Only time will tell if I’m right about any of this.
