The Centennial Commemoration of Baha'u'llah's Ascension

United in the love of God's Glory,
we gather in the presence of the Beloved,
to commemorate His ascension
into the Abha Paradise.

Flute music,
like water from the fountain of life
that bubbles up in the Garden of Ridvan,
reverberates
through the sanctuary.

Roses,
red as the dawn of a new day,
perfume the air
and lend their taste
to the prayers ascending
to the throne of the Blessed Beauty.

White candles,
symbolizing the light of the Holy Spirit,
recall to the lover's mind
the moment of salvation.

Facing
the Point of Adoration,
someone intones
the Tablet of Visitation,
as we listen
in rapt meditation.
