Feast of Jamal (Beauty)

Feast of Beauty

The flowers of humanity gather,
To celebrate the Supper of the Lord.

Music in the background plays,
singers raising their voices in praise,
sing: "Ya Baha'u'l-Abha!"

Greeting each other with,
"Allah-u-Abha."
We enter the Lord's Supper.

Candles on the table burn,
Blossoms of red, yellow, and white,
release incense into the air.

Reading from The Hidden Words
we consume the Supper of the Lord.

Feast of Jamal

O Lord!
We gather
in the shade of Your beauty,
beneath the boughs of the Tree of Life,
to consume
from the hand of Your love
the fruit of unity.

O Lord!
We gather
in the garden of Your beauty
in the paradise of Your love;
to consume
from the boughs of the Tree of Eternity
the leaves of immortality.

I wrote the first poem in 147 B.E. and the second in 151 B.E. They inspiration was an evening feast on April 27 in two different years.
