Excerpt from Chapter #1 of The Making of a Preacher

The beauty of his new Home freed him from the journey ahead for a few, long, refreshing moments, but then the thunderous roar broke his reverie, tempting him to give in to the old doubts and fears. Face in hands awareness of a familiar strong arm on his shoulder caused a deep healing breath to fill his lungs. "You didn't think I'd let you take this last leg of the journey by yourself, did you?"

"Jesus!" Matt croaked, which is kind of like a blurt for a 90-year-old.

"You were expecting someone else?" Jesus' eyes danced from the cocked head that leaned in Matt's direction.

"Of course not," Matt said. "It's just that I was really needing to see you right now."

"It's alright, Dear One. We're going to do this together."
