Dorian Gray, Dracula
Prompt: Lyn asked us if Oscar Wilde's Dorian Gray and Brams Stoker's Dracula influenced each other and if we had read both books. She asked about our views on this.
I never read Dorian Gray or saw the movie but I learned about it from watching "Dark Shadows". Quentin Collins had a portrait painted to stay young forever and break his werewolf curse. The portrait did age and Quentin later went to the present and stayed young forever. Barnabas Collins was a vampire and he got cured by injections from a doctor. I learned about the supernatural from watching "Dark Shadows".
I did read Dracula and have seen the movies but I think Wilde went one way about Dorian Gray and Stoker another about Dracula. All I can say they are both part of the supernatural world. They are both good stories. I like Dark Shadows interpretation of these events better.
