MORE TO LAS VEGAS THAN MEETS THE EYE

Although I'm sure the strip has a lot of entertainment to offer I was also interested to view some of the surrounding scenery. I thought the Hotel was an awesome looking place but after checking in I talked some of the group into hitting the road. We hired a car and drove the 22 miles to a nearby 120 acre place called Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. The views of nearby mountains were spectacular. The springs from these mountains used to be a source of water for the Paiute tribes who settled the area. Of course the ranch has cattle but, another draw are the museum sites of former famous people who spent time at the ranch.



After our visit here we raced back to get to the concert:

I skipped chippendale, someone else will have to fill me in to this rowdy bunch.
