The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |
‘Idál (Justice), 18 Raḥmat (Mercy) 175 B.E. - Wednesday, July 11, 2018 My mood's improving, I just hung up on a telemarketer who called me before 9:00 A.M. Pacific Time. The War Chest Wednesday prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" "In the past few years books have been adapted into movies. Some have not lived up to their novel origins. What book adaption have you not been impressed by? If you could, would you re-film the movie? What book(s) do you think could make an impressive movie? What book(s) do you think couldn't be made into a movie, no matter what the circumstances?" When I see a film adaption of a book, I don't compare the two because there is no way to compare your imagination with a director's or a scriptwriter's version of the book. When I read a fiction book, I'm using my imagination to visualize the scenes. When I see a movie adaption of a book I've read I'm seeing how someone else imagines the scenes that carry the plot forward. There can be no comparison between my imagination and the scenes in the film because somewhere I will be disappointed. When I watch a movie adaption of a book, I watch for the pure entertainment value and not to compare them. |
