Books Are Mirrors
Prompt: "Books are mirrors: you only see in them what you already have inside you" says Carlos Ruiz Zafon in THE SHADOW OF THE WIND What do you thinks he means? Don't we see in a book what it's writer has written?

I think we read books and a character is like us. That can be scary. Like does this author know me? Sometimes we are scared of what we read that resembles us. Other times, you feel honored and happy. The truth can hurt if you aren't happy with yourself. Being in love, achievements, bad things you have done and they show up in a book you read like a mirror, time for a reality check. It can be fun and play into your fantasy and help you be a better person or admire who you already are. Mirrors and reminders can be a blessing and you can use these concepts about yourself and bring them into your fictional characters. You can change their lives and feel better about yourself at the same time. Who knows? It may be a best seller involving the best and worst parts about yourself!
