"June 29, 2018" {mage:1997652-33%} Prompt: " Craft a piece of writing about the first time you met your best friend." Considering that my best friend is Jesus Christ I have to say that I first met Him when I was a young man. I believe I was 11 years old, maybe a bit younger. I had a good cry at my conversion but due to my age and not really understanding I went back to my old ways pretty quickly. I was finally saved when I was 18 years old. I had been reading a book by Oral Roberts and It suggested I become saved, This however still did not last.I fell away and began taking drugs. All the while I was doing drugs I also did a ton of Bible studies. God knew the plans He had for me and even though I wasn't living right He continued to train me.ck A few years back, about 10 I believe, I rededicated my life and have been in the right path ever sense, There are days I screw up big time but my faith seldom wavers. I am a soldier in the Salvation Army and will soon hold a RBA in religion from Marshall University in Huntington WV, I plan to the Go for a graduate degree in theology. Prompt: "Last night at my writing group a poem was shared discussing snitches get stitches. The phrase is a threat indicating that those who snitch (tell on or inform on others) Will be physically assaulted (require stitches to close the cuts or wounds they are going to get for being informers). What are your feelings about this topic? Is silence really the right thing to do or is putting yourself out there in harm's way the only way for this change?" I believe we should keep to ourselves 9n most things but where a violation of the law is I believe we have a responsibility to report crimes. They can call me a snitch if they want, I'd rather be a snitch than live with thugs around me. |
