I'm currently waiting and struggling to be patient in saving for backyard goats. Part of me thinks I should apply for an animal permit as soon as I save the required $50 and get a yard inspection ASAP. That way I'll know if I can even have the cute little weed eaters. The other part of me says to wait...wait and save! Because even if I'm approved this year I won't be able to actually buy the goats until next year and then I'll have to pay another $50 fee (it's a yearly fee) and that first $50 will basically be flushed down the toilet.

But I really, really, really want to find out if my dreaming is all for naught.

sigh. I suppose if the city says no, next year, at least I'll have a few hundred bucks saved up to replace our van's tires, pay taxes, or use for some other "responsible" thing.

Sometimes being an adult is no fun!!
