Blog City image small Prompt: “Fiction has been maligned for centuries as being "false," "untrue," yet good fiction provides more truth about the world, about life, and even about the reader, than can be found in non-fiction.” ― Clark Zlotchew Your thoughts?"

I have never given too much thought to it one way or another regarding any fiction aside from science-fiction. have thought a lot about it. I remember when my dad used to scoff at my notion that someday people would order there belongings on a computer from the comfort of their homes. He said I was dreaming. Forty years later the Internet was created and today we can order nearly anything online. I also predicted that people would someday have hand held communicator like they used on Star Trek. Dad said I was dreaming about that until the advent of cell phones and speakers so that people can literally hold their phones in their hands and talk. He also laughed at the notion of video conferencing but quit laughing the first time he saw a Skype call. Before he passed he told me that he was sure that some day we would transport from place to place by being beamed from place to place just as the characters on Star Trek are because Gene Roddenberry and I had been correct on everything else. Now I understand that scientists are working on a machine that will transport to the stars in short periods of time.

Blog City image small "Prompt: Have you ever been in stage or performed for an audience?"

As a matter of fact I have. I have been on television several times locally answering questions for reporters. I have been on a total of eight times. I have been on AM radio three times, and spoken directly to crowds of as many as three hundred people at one time. There was once a time when public speaking was intimidating to me and even out right frightening. Now it has become as natural as talking casually. I have a big Internet presence from publishing books and poetry online. I also publish on here. I preach the gospel of Jesus Christ from a pulpit and from my computer so I am accustomed to public speaking.
