Roserian Sonnet: "Learning Something New"
The instrument's been played by hosts before.
To move the bow gets me inside the door.
My heart longs to be great as some I know.
These, too, have stumbled through the learner's way
for Rome is never built in just one day.
Embroidery requires a focused mind,
while needle pokes are always quite unkind.
The striving heart will always push to go,
where crafter's arts make lasting, loving gift
to bring great joy and other's spirits lift.
To learn, the friendly bow I daily move.
I thread the needle, leaving lasting stitch.
The poem's made and thrown in loving pitch.
The new I've learned so wond'rously I prove.
