The Days of Peace

The days of peace are often lost
pursuing what it's not.
Is there a hope at any cost
to find what we forgot?

The days of peace seemed real enough
when playing as a child,
Unless our place was strewn with stuff
by armies so defiled.

The days of peace make business big
for tea and coffee rooms.
For piece of peace, we'll go to dig,
An hour we will groom.

The days of peace are worth a mint.
We long to stay all day.
The hope of peace our gifts present
along Life's earthly way.

The days of peace are not a time
as much as inner trait.
The peace of heart begins the climb
to hopeful meal and plate.

The days of peace at best is who,
relationship is calm
For peace then links between the two
providing lasting balm.

The days of peace make Spirit live
through lasting Gift of Grace.
Our war of heart to Him we give.
Our grief He does erase.

The days of peace begin inside,
where Prince of Peace now lives.
Our lives within his shadow hide,
and daily peace He gives.
