Committed to Peace
The rocket ship blasted from Cape Everything-to-Do.
It flamed.
It rose.
It found the dark until something came into view.
A little-known planet south of the Milky Way
was lush,
and green.
It would be a really great place to stay.
The Marquee sign floating out in space was brief and to the point.
"The Pleasing Peas'
Piece of Peace."
It was confusing and amusing, but it seemed like a wonderful joint.
The welcoming committee was Jean Claude and Philippe.
So bouncy!
So bubbly!
How could they know peace so wonderfully replete?
In their own French way without their VeggieTales hosts, they led me.
The room was quiet.
They left me alone.
They knew how to play, and they knew how to be.
"That must be it!" I thought through the roar of the Quiet.
The child,
the play,
the being
this day.
My Hope could soon blossom. I really oughta try it!
My stay of a week became a month and a year.
I played
and I lived
and I watched life go past.
I saw their sun rise.
I saw their sun set.
I saw it zoom fast.
I saw all the little white creatures and bugs.
I laid on their grass.
My mission was clear.
Return in the rocket ship, full of great peace.
Restored to my life.
Restored to my Joy.
Looking for my little green friends in search of world peas.
