Do you find your work in real life, past or present, has affected your writing, positively or negatively, and do you use events from your work in your fiction or poetry?

Every event in my life eventually ends up in a poem, essay, or story. There was a time when I attempted to avoid using events from my work or personal life in my writing, but it slipped in anyway. After realizing this happened, I stopped attempting to prevent it. I'm now trying to embrace the idea that personal stuff will show up in my writing. Sometimes my internal critic tries to prevent it or make me feel guilty about doing it, but most of the time I ignore the fear and push on.

What is your favorite genre to review on writing.com? Share something from that genre that you enjoyed reading.

I don't have a favorite genre to review. I will review any genre, when the item's tile or description arouse my curiosity, or someone asks me to review an item. I recently review "Mail Order Garden"  about a wizard and a garden, which I enjoyed reading.
