Gratitude for Life

Oh, Thou Glory of Glories,
I give you thanks
for the day of my conception
because that was the day
I began the journey
that will take my soul into the Abha paradise.

Oh, Thou All-Glorious Beloved,
help me to make today
richer in joy and gratitude
than yesterday,
so that I may live each day
depending upon the rays
shining from the Holy Spirit
to illuminate
the mirror of my spirit.

Oh, Thou who are All-Merciful,
thank you for this chance to serve
You and humanity;
thank you for helping me to find
the Blessed Beauty,
Baha'u'llah.
