April 27 Glory
Glory

The colors of the sunset
change at the whim
of the elements.
At times, streaks of crimson
blended with violet
and vermillion
wash the sky.
At others,
an explosion of golds
and orange burst
on the horizon.
Whatever the choice
of the day,
the colors eventually slide
silently into the sea,
at peace
with the knowledge
that another well spent
day is complete
and it is time to rest.
