Con-Verse: "April's Cool Days"

When the winter leaves in spring,
Birds will fly and stop to sing.

Often times the warm days then come
With sweat of brow and shirt then some.

But cooler days have blest us this year
With respite's peace, hopeful breath so near.

Our pansies thrive in cooler climes so soft.
Their smiling faces give us joy so oft.

The days of heat will be here soon in summer,
But now enjoy the cooler days much funner.


The wintry days are springing
with happy hearts a-singing.

The plants enjoy the cooler rain
With hope to live new day, again.

The birds return here from warmer climes,
Teaching goslings as at other times.

These cooler breezes blowing on my hair
Have made me pause to think and often stare.

The Lord has made a gentle April. Enjoy
A rest for ev'ry man, woman, girl and boy!
