Good vs. Evil

The days of struggle long have known the tale
'Twixt good and evil, who will yet prevail?
Perception rules in this long battle fierce.
Will good be good? It's sword vain evil pierce?
Or evil good that darkness wins the day
To wipe the light by force the peace display?

So many volumes tell this battle strong.
Great voices sing of this in victor's song.
The home team will bequeath itself the good,
Bemoaning losses of their young they brood.
The evil is the one you fight against
By right of cause you will remain convinced.

But who has right, define the good from bad?
Does Absolute exist to make hearts glad?
If so, just what do these words fully mean?
What right declares the author good pristine?
What wrong is evil that demands defeat?
What badness makes the evil state complete?

Creator of all things is truly God.
The goodness of this One we ought applaud.
"Like God" is "good" at very stated core.
There's none like God, though universe explore.
"Unlike The Lord" is "evil's" plainest miss.
The arrow missed the target made of bliss.

"For in beginning was this God, The Word,"
Whose final definition was first heard
By Adam in the garden Paradise,
Until the evil snake made him think twice.
The truth remains what's good and best for all,
Who on The Lord lay will to heed the call.

The sour grapes of evil call this foul,
Their evil eyes in furrowed, awful scowl.
Yet good is best for all, whoe'er exist
For God, the Good, His Will has never missed.
The universe is held in strictest frame
By One, Who honors good for all the same.

He holds together good and bad alike.
The lives of those, whose words against Him strike,
Their lungs still breathe and hearts still beat the same
As 'fore they ever slammed His Holy Name.
His foes you'd not expect to give to Him
What's kind and full of words that shine as gem.

One God is good. Does good for friend and foe.
The foe does good for colleagues that he knows.
One God gives life to all the souls He makes.
He will not ever ask nor payment take.
The Earth still spins and runs around the sun
For those, whose love is real and those who've none.
