April 2 Playing With Rhyme
Playing With Rhyme

When I sit down to write
I keep the rhythm tight.
Then stagger out a rhyme
and break the line in time.

With paper and a pen
I paint a golden dawn
with mother doe and fawn,
in language one can ken.

While wrapping up this piece
I nod my head to sleep
and know it's time to cease
To file away and keep.
