The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |
Monday, March 19, 2018 Happy 97th Birthday, Mama The Motivational Monday prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" Author {xlink:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Roth}Philip Roth[/xlink}, born on this day in 1933, once said "I think I write and publish as often as I do because I can't bear being without a book to work on... I don't feel I have this to say or that to say or this story to tell, but I know I want to be occupied with the writing process while I'm living." What do you think? What gets you through the end of one thing and the start of another? Getting Through the Day Moving forward, Once you see the sunset or the project finished you breath a prayer of gratitude before taking a short siesta. The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise" prompt for DAY 1553 The Polish poet Adam Zagajewski said that in his country, “poetry killed communism.” Do you think poets can be the forerunners of social change, and if so, how are they managing to bring such revolutions about? Here's an Adam Zagajewski poem: http://www.poetryinternationalweb.net/pi/site/poem/item/11970/auto/0/NEW-HOTEL
Poets as Agents of Change Poets are the souls of humanity, and the racial memory of the species. Poets have to duty to point out-- in metaphor and simile-- the injustices they see, to inscribe-- in stanza and line-- the history of their age, and to proclaim the superstitions that prevent the components of humankind from achieving their full potential. The "Blogging Circle of Friends " prompt for DAY 1950 It's Motivational Monday, write about some good news that motivates or inspires you in your life, your town, your state, your country, or go to Good News Network or some other website and share some good news that interest you. Good News Yesterday, in "Sunday News: Good News in My Life" , I wrote about part of the good news in my life. Today I have a couple of more pieces of good news. First, I went to Devotional Services at the Baha'i Center yesterday afternoon. Second, I was able to purchase The Baha'is, which was published by the Baha'i International Community in 2017. It covers some of the history of the Baha'i Faith, and numerous other facts about the Baha'i Faith across the world. The magazine style book is written to help introduce the Baha'i Faith to seekers and other people interested in learning more about the Faith. I have been a Baha'i for over twenty years, and I am still learning about the Central Figures and the Baha'i Faith. I am sure I will continue to learn more even after I ascend into the Abha Kingdom. |
