Ghostly Themes and Solving the Mystery
Wednesday, March 7, 2018
The War Chest Wednesday prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUSOpen in new Window.
Whispers, or screams?

Ghostly Themes

Whispers or screams
suggest ghostly themes,
with spectral voices echoing
through castle corridors
or dilapidated antebellum mansions.

Ghost can be anyplace
where yesterday fears haunt
humanity's present joys
or future happiness.

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's ParadiseOpen in new Window. prompt for Day 1541 March
You see green, blue and red flashing lights in your bathroom at night. What is happening and do you dare enter?

Solving the Mystery

Curiosity
may have eliminated the cat,
but it only provokes the inquiring mind
of a human being.

Fear of death
is only a minor inconvenience,
when a mystery
requires a solution.

Flashing light
of any color
can make a human being,
especially a writer,
wonder.

When the light flashes green
you go to the door,
when it flashes blue
you put your hand on the doorknob,
and when the red light flashes
you push the door open
to find...
your imagination,
muse,
and Dr. Who
are working overtime.
