What Impressed Me The Most In My Early Years Of Writing
Prompt: What impressed you the most in your early years of writing? Joy asked if it was childhood memories, fairy tales or what?

I used to write horse stories when I was eight years old. I was an only child and had an over active imagination. I put it to work. I loved fairy tales and this impressed me about romance and this was part of me wanting to write. Maybe a big part. I had to write stories and poems in school and I liked it. I read books all the time. When I became a reporter in high school, I took writing seriously. I had a good Creative Writing teacher in high school and one in college. Over the years, a fear of having my writing rejected, I gave it up. I found WDC and met all these people who were writing and I was impressed and wrote two books and got published. I took two on line classes which also involved snail mailing my manuscripts. I learned from writers here and got into writing other genres. I am retired from my Nursing job and can do what I want, including writing. I enjoy writing a variety of things now. I just do it for fun anymore and as a hobby.
