THE LOVING AND WISE APPRECIATE EVERYTHING
A sage working as a servant in a farm house, did gardening and household work.

Everyday he brought water for the farm house from the Ganges nearby.

He made a device of two brass pots hung from a bamboo pole over his shoulders.

Due to constant use a small hole was formed in one of the brass pots and water was leaking along the path.

One day another servant noticed the water leaking and he stopped the sage and scolded him,

"Are you not aware you fool that there is a hole in your pot, and that you are unnecessarily creating

more work for your self? Why don't you throw out this useless pot and get a new one?"...

The illumined sage lovingly replied , "My friend, I know there is a hole in the pot. I also know that water is

leaking through the hole. But look at the path on which I walk. I have sown some flower seeds on the sides.

Plants have grown, and look at those lovely fragrant flowers... my daily companion the pot,

despite being hurt and broken was also continuing to provide a useful service..
