while hunting

that exists
only in his dreams.

nightmare or reality,
is the terminus
to a sideways week,
when the poet-soul
is a martyr
to word count.

Saturday morning
a nonsense boast,
as the poet-mind fights depression
by seeking
the armor of laughter.
