A Journal to impart knowledge and facts |
Well Thanksgiving is on it way. So today I started thinking about Time. When I googled the science of Time I came up with an article on http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/cosmicvariance/2011/09/01/ten-things-everyone-... The article I read is written by Sean Carroll. It's called, Ten Things Everyone Should Know About Time The article was posted September 1, 2011 so I figure because of the content someone should know more about the subject six years later. I just had a wellness checkup in which I was told that it is very unusual to find someone of my age that is not taking medications. In the article I read, mentioned above, Number 3 states: Everyone experiences time differently. When I turned 60 an acquaintance of mine said to me. "People are usually slowing down at your age." All I could think to answer was, "How?" "I have so much to do everyday. If I'm not here or don't step up to finish my jobs they won't get done." "That is still a relevant way to look at what I accomplish everyday. I think everyone matters. Did you get up, wash the dishes, make the beds, stare out the window? (What did you see?) Maybe just existing in Time is important. Several people over my life have said to me. "Your just before your time!" My common retort is, "No. I exist now this is my time get over it." So, remember, you're here now, you were meant to be here, even if you think someone waylaid your life, knocked you off course or messed with your time line. Just keep existing. It will shake up your opposition. Celebrate Life! Happy Thanksgiving! |
