The Hands and November Rain
Thursday, November 2, 2017

"I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still possess."
Martin Luther

The "Blogging Circle of Friends Open in new Window. prompt for Day 1813
Take these words and create an entry or a poem. The hands , extraordinarily, enticed, solemn, magicians.

The Hands

The hands of human beings are extraordinarily versatile! They can be held out in friendship, folded in prayer, or raised in anger. They can thread a needle, pick up a baby, or hold a gun. They respond to the thoughts rippling through a person mind, and never ask if the actions they are performing are good, evil, or neutral. At the direction of the human mind, the hands can entice someone to follow, or pledge a solemn vow. We are magicians when we use our hand. The question is "How do we use your hands?

Write an entry about November rain.

November Rain

Cold drops plop
onto my bare-hands
chilling me to the bone.

November is the month
of clouds,
rain,
and sometimes snow.

In Nevada
the higher elevations
are covered with white drops
of frozen rain,
while in the valleys
the freezing drops penetrate
to soul
of the homeless wander
looking for warmth
and salvation.
