Poems written for "The Daily Poem" Contest inspired by various prompts. |
Tree House No sidewalks mar the hushed landscapes, just rustic paths are all one sees. The honey-suckle hangs like drapes. This is my home among the trees. The nearby stream, its whispered song blends with the wind's soft harmonies; a sense that here's where I belong. This is my home among the trees. No cobbled roads, just narrow ways meander under canopies that sparkle in the sunlight's blaze. This is my home among the trees. The lake, each morning cloaked in mist that swirls and plays and likes to tease, shimmers with the sunlight's kiss. This is my home among the trees. At night, no lamp posts light the way though fireflies float on the breeze; a pale reminder of the day. This is my home among the trees. I listen to the evening song as crickets play their symphonies. The sounds assure me I belong โ this is my home among the trees. Nature has cast her peaceful spell; she bids us each to take our ease. This is the place wherein I dwell; this is my home among the trees. ![]() ![]() An entry for the November 2nd round of "The Daily Poem" ![]() Prompt: Write a poem inspired by: Outside the window Poetry Form: Kyrielle ![]() Line Limit: 50 Line Count: 28 |
