Lamp of Splendor

Lamp of Splendor:
To The Blessed Beauty

Lamp of Splendor your light glows bright,
Its radiant rays hearts ignite,
With the brilliance of amity,
That unifies humanity,
Into a limpid rainbow light.

You are the one who scatters night,
The foundations of faith you unite,
Prove the soul's immortality,
Lamp of Splendor.

You put hate's demons into flight,
Your glow, the Holy Spirit's light,
You proclaim peace and unity,
You encourage diversity,
Your scriptures reveal fresh insights,
Lamp of Splendor.

Poem 199 of 200 Dedicated to The Blessed Beauty. This poem was originally written in response to a prompt for "The Daily Poem" . The original poem is in "Snow Scribbles"  "Lamp of Splendor" . Form: Rondeau a 15-line poem, usually composed in iambic tetrameter; however, 8-syllable lines work. The rhyme pattern is aabba aabR aabbaR, with the refrain being the 1st 4 syllables of the 1st line of the 1^st stanza.
