Finding the Way
Whispers in the misty black
calling to the light of day,
"Follow voice to find way back
where hope awaits in truest way."
But Mirkwood is a cloudy place.
The beaten path is hard to find,
Yet, Tolkien quoth we must embrace
or walk in circles fully blind.
The white-blind paths of mirkish thought,
they may as well be deepest night
For sometimes Truth as long-past taught
doth hide in game of childish plight.
To know The Lord is water grasped
as cheetah runs, but never tires,
But when I wait my spirit's clasped
by One, Whose greatness ne'er expires.
As Michael Card in brilliance wrote
The One, Who lives in mystery
Is One Whose Truth we all most quote,
While in His Mist He makes some free.
"His Presence felt, when He is gone.
"The things unsaid speak more than words.
"He chose to die to raise up sons.
"All answers pale in light of Lord."
I thank, Thee, Brother Michael Card,
for hope within this darkest mist.
In gloomy days you've been my bard
to help me feel by Savior kissed.
