Peace After the Storm
The tantrum's o'er. The toddler sleeps.
All toys are strewn, while fury reaps.
The Master's called the world to task.
His Wisdom's great. "Some giv'n," we'd ask.

The principal has come and gone.
His wrath displayed we greet the dawn.
Some future face with life alone.
The chaff of past is fully blown.

To wait we have and see we do.
The future is a door gone through.
In just a breath the world has changed.
So many lives lay rearranged.

The bully has stormed through the land.
Some lives now crushed return to stand.
This bully's win is fleeting time
for hope we do in life sublime!

The rain has come to quench Earth's thirst
with thrills and joys we've passed the worst,
But tears still rain upon the cheek
restoring lives we all would seek.

At my house rainy clouds still cry.
Repentance for the fury nigh.
Salvation here is bittersweet.
We're saved, but some demise did meet.

I wish that all were saved from harm,
so full of life without alarm,
But broken is this world of men.
Forbidden fruit, the kiss of sin.

Mayhaps The Lord will kiss our heart
to give us hope is this new start,
That wiser we may lasting be
with less of self and more of He.
