I took a wrong turn somewhere way back when
If only I could go back again
To switch it around
And Turn it upside down

I know my life would be
Footloose and fancy free
If it were switched around
And turned upside down

I would say hello to this one
At that one, I would turn and run
If only I could switch it around
Turn it upside down

Oh, how different life would be
If only to live my dream
How can I switch it around
Turn it upside down?

Never mind oh foolish heart
I don’t want this life torn apart
By switching it around
Turning it upside down

Throw my troubles in a stack
You throw in yours
I would still take mine back
And you would choose yours

Isn’t it stange how life works?
I chose my troubles, and you chose yours.
