8. You wake up in the morning to see a large moon-like object in the sky. [w.c. 72]


You wake up in the morning
You know it will be a day made for sci fi
Look there in the dawn’s early warning
A moon-like object floats across the sky

Bobbing and weaving an intricate pattern
Leaving debris in its wake
And hillsides flattened
As the earth begins to shake

With the earth now cleansed
And the people now chastened
All days come to an end
To let life begin again
