Autumn's breath threatens to vanquish last strengths of Summer
An adventurer ponders thoughts of what she might do
She gasps at the thought of one final exciting quest
A road trip would bring dreams which do come true

Stretches of flat roads and rich sights to see
Uplifting Country Music keeping the summer alive
The smell of cut grass and bonfire nights
The best stops along the way to break up the drive

Waterfalls, glistening lakes and chlorine scented pools
Boardwalks, sea air, and a great summer friend
Cocktails, or mocktails, and sweet breeze of summer
Autumn still threatening the days soon to end

The road trip teased Autumn, who clawed at the edges
One last adventure despite threats from Fall
Summer breezes and rainbows draw to a close
Thought last Summer smiles can be seen one and all
