Family History

Prompt: Have you traced your family history?

Yes. My father's side was related to Charlie Meadows, Arizona Charlie and he was a champion polka player with Wild Bill Cody's traveling show in the old west. I found playing cards with an illustrated picture of him on playing cards at a flea market and I bought them. Some of my Dad's family members dealed in oil. We are also related to George Bush, our former President. We are English and my father's grandmother was full blood Cherokee.

My mother's grandma's family was German. I wish I would have asked my Great Grandma more questions about our heritage when she was alive. Great Grandpa's great uncles fought in the Civil War. A man named Will Turner, an ancestor relative {no, not the pirate!}was in the Civil War and was the richest man in the county I lived in during the Civil War. His daughters sold all the land and no money was left over.

My mother's mother had Apache blood in the family.

This is all I know but I was happy to have this info.
