Detoxify!

The parts of life that are not best,
they tend to weigh us down.
The food we eat. That friendship test.
The challenges abound.

To look for love and rest and peace
are daily hopes of heart.
We pine for grace and sweet release
and new lives with new start.

Our cells all know the things we need
from nourishment to sleep.
The thickness of our spirits bleed
to find a refuge deep.

Some get in tune with inner joy
by touching One, Who lives,
But all seek to respite employ
in rest some corner gives.

Disconnect 'tween soul and spirit
in this searching world
Is the neglect of way we hear it
Truth as first unfurled.

Detoxify the cluttered mess
in body and the soul,
Then daily rest will truly bless
to make thee fully whole!
