My Biggest Challenge

What is the biggest challenge I have overcome, so far, this year? Getting back into the habit of walking without letting my mind go off tiptoeing through the tulips while I am walking. Walking around the block is boring. I suspect, but I cannot swear to it, that it is one of the most boring activities there is. The problem I encounter is keeping my mind focused so that I can walk faster than just an amble. I usually start out fast, but then I slow down. Once I slow down, then my mind begins to wander and I slow down more because I notice how my body feels when I walk.

Seeing With New Eyes

How do I learn to see the world with new eyes? Experience. Meditation. Getting out of the box you you were born in. I know that my perspective has changed as I matured and left the small town in Oklahoma I was born in. A lot of things have changed over the years, I know that one thing that helped that change was becoming a Baha'i because it gave me an entirely new perspective on religion. It also gave me a new perspective on myself because I had to let go of some of the baggage, about myself, I had picked up over the years.
