July 1st is Canada Day...pick a Canadian celebrity, tell us what he or she is famous for, and tell us how they would fit in with what they do in your hometown. If you're Canadian, tell us what you enjoy most about your country that might not be as popular in other countries.

My Favorite Canadian Celebrity

I had a little difficulty picking my favorite Canadian celebrity because I had four to chose from. These are the ones I had to decide between (1) William Shatner (Birthplace: Montreal, Quebec), (2) Celine Dion (Birthplace: Charlemagne, Quebec), (3) Michael J. Fox (Birthplace: Edmonton, Alberta), and (4) Justin Trudeau (Birthplace: Ottawa, Quebec). I contemplated these four, and cut my choices down to two William Shatner and Celine Dion. Of these two my favorite is William Shatner--Captain Kirk.

Mr. Shatner, a multi-talented individual, was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 22, 1931. His creativity covers a wide range of talents, he is an actor, director, author, and singer. The role I will always remember him in is James Tiberius Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
