Midweek Reflections on Opposites and Flight
Wednesday, June 28, 2017

"By passion for the "pairs of opposites,"
By those twain snares of Like and Dislike, Prince!
All creatures live bewildered, save some few
Who, quit of sins, holy in act, informed,
Freed from the "opposites," and fixed in faith,
Cleave unto Me."

from the Bhagavadgita1

The "Blogging Circle of Friends Open in new Window. prompt for DAY 1686
Write about opposites. Positive or Negative. Light or Darkness. Good or Evil. Or pick any other pair of opposites and write about them.

Opposites

We are magnetic pendulums swinging between opposites,
dancing between positive and negative,
likes and dislike,
light and darkness,
spirit and matter,
etc. ...

We are dual natured creatures,
attempting to find equilibrium
between the greed of our material egos
and the generosity of our souls.

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's ParadiseOpen in new Window. prompt for Day 1201
"Smell the sea and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly." Van Morrison What are your thoughts about this?

Flight

I inhale the fragrance of the sea,
I feel currents of air beneath my wings,
lifting me above the turmoil
of mundane survival.

I soar
on wings of joy,
I fly through oxygen waves
generated by by green laughter,
and I sing
my gratitude
to the universe.
