Worlds of water

How a unique world
is reflected in each drop of water.
How many drops,
each plop sending out ripples.
Even now—after decades—
their portents reaching out,
offering a new home.

I would embrace each one of you...
if I could hug water.
But I'm lava.
And my fire
would turn you all to steam.
