The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |
Tuesday, June 13, 2017 The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise" prompt for DAY 1187 “In my experience, ghosts are made up only of the living, people you know are out there but are forever out of range.” Adam Johnson, The Orphan Master's Son What do you make of this quote? Are there any living ghosts in your life or in the life of someone you know? Ghost I don't, necessarily, agree with the quote. Sometimes, the ghost in our lives are living people who are out of range, but not always. At other times, ghost are echoes from people passed into the next world who haven't learned to let go of their past or what happened to them while the spirits were still wed to their physical bodies. It could, also, be that the person died so suddenly that the spirit hasn't yet realized the body is dead and decomposing. Another explanation, I've contemplated, is that place hold onto the shadows of traumatic events which held a lot of negative emotions when they occurred. The "Blogging Circle of Friends " prompt for DAY 1671 Use the following Grateful Dead song titles in a story: touch of grey, sugar magnolia, Uncle John's band, box of rain, friend of the devil. Questions the Preacher Man Asked: A Poem Inspired by Grateful Dead Song Titles "Are you a friend of the devil," "Is that touch of gray God's way of telling you that your death is nigh?" "Can lovers hold a box of rain, walking hand-in-hand down Satan's Lane?" Are you a member of Uncle John's band or do you spread Lucifer's music across the planet and your native land?" Do you drink bottles of sugar magnolia while playing a Folia2 on Beelzebub's guitar?" Footnotes |
