Meditation on the Scripture of the Day: June 10, 2017
Saturday, June 10, 2017
"Be fair in thy judgment, and guarded in thy speech. Be unjust to no man, and show all meekness to all men. Be as a lamp unto them that walk in darkness, a joy to the sorrowful, a sea for the thirsty, a haven for the distressed, an upholder and defender of the victim of oppression. Let integrity and uprightness distinguish all thine acts."
I contemplate the meaning
of God's Words
revealed through the pen
of Baha'u'llah.
I say a prayer,
read the passage,
say another prayer,
and read the passage over again.
I contemplate its meaning,
knowing that each time
I meditate on this scripture
I will find
a new understanding
because
the Revealed Word of God
is an ocean
in which the schools
of nuance's swim.
I ask myself,
"How do I reflect
the essence of this passage
today?
