We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
The fact that Writing.Com has been in existence for a longer time than Facebook and Twitter is truly amazing. I am so grateful that the leadership of Writing.Com chose a format that has stood the test of time as it continues to march on. Somewhere around 2007 and 2008 I started my writing career in earnest with the start-up sites of Helium.Com and Sodahead.Com. I wanted to make money with my writing, and at least with Helium.Com there was promise of pay, if my work was meritorious. In the past three years both of these websites have stopped being accessible to the common man like me. Now, they are the purviews of marketing corporations. I wrote hundreds of articles and poems between the two of them, but now I have no access to any of my work at either website. My personal copies of all my work are scattered among desktops and archive DVDs. It feels like such a waste of time, but neither The Lord nor Experience are in a hurry. Nothing will be wasted. Today, I continue to rebuild a new portfolio of work on Writing.Com. Experience wounds to make Wise. It is a process. by Jay O'Toole on May 20th, 2017 |
