A Mirror within a Mirror..

There was a time when a mirror was seen as witch craft.
Mirror mirror on the wall may Athena be with you.
When I was a boy I would walk about the house with my mother's small mirror.
It was a hand held mirror and I'd look into it see the ceiling.
I wasn't certain that the ceiling was always in the right place.
I'd use the mirror to check behind me..
Dad said, "Don't stare too long into the mirror.
The Devil might be behind you."

Dad placed a crucifix over every bed to keep the Devil away.
I guess it was like a Dream Catcher.
But, I thought it was creepy.
The crucifix was especially creepy when I was pleasuring my self in my bed.
Growing up in a conservative Catholic family, pleasuring oneself was sinful.
It also had hysterically embarrassing moments.
I walked in my older sisters shaving each others butts.
The crucifix was over their bed behind them.

I think Jesus would have found that funny.
My sisters didn't.
I laughed hysterically at the absurdity.
Then I ran back down the hall and locked myself in the bathroom.
It was the only room with a deadbolt.
All the other rooms could be opened with a skeleton key.
I had a long shower pleasuring myself with shampoo and shaving cream.
It felt demonic and liberating.+
