Keep on Keeping on!

The days they come so very fast!
The nights come quickly, too.
The life we live makes marks that last
eternal ages through.

The pain can mold us into gold.
The Joy adds brightest sheen.
The Lord won't leave me, this I'm told
when life just seems so mean.

To live this life as victor will
I must not let defeat
Become the wheel of grinding mill
that rolls o'er grains of wheat.

The grief I face is freshest now.
I reach and stretch for sun,
But when my head's at lowest bow,
Christ's Vict'ry stands as won!

These are the days when rest is gift
as body needs repair
And mind in sadness needs a lift,
good words from Heaven there.

But when Christ comes to set things right
the pain no more will be
For we'll see fin'lly with His Sight
and live for aye with He.
