"The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men"

This month I wrote two stories for the Dialogue 500 contest. The first one was an idea I got after listening to the 48-Hour Challenge video prompt. However, when I started to post it on the Dialogue 500 page, I realized that it really didn't fit the prompt for the month of February, 2017. What did I do. I shoehorned it and posted anyway. However, the more I thought about it throughout the evening, the more uncomfortable I became at the reworked version.

Bottom Line: I reposted the original article, which now has 546 words, and I wrote a new article, having only 494 words. The first article has a good message. I hope you will consider it to be so, too. Any feedback would be appreciated. Enjoy!
