We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
As this is my 100th blog post in a row, since starting on November 5th, 2016, I will attempt to paraphrase Psalm 100 into iambic meter in another exercise for today. I hope it will encourage you as much as I expect it to encourage me. Blessings to All! :D --------------------------- O, make a joyful noise to Him, unto The LORD, I say! Immersed in praise we fully swim all lands throughout the day! O, serve The LORD with gladdest heart, and come before Him now. Before His presence from the start we rise to sing and bow! O, know ye that The LORD is God! By Him we're fully made We have not made "a cone or rod" to see His great display! We are his people, even we. As sheep we're fragile sore. We need His Help to daily be. His Grace we do implore. Now enter blessed in His dear gates with thankful giving hearts, And come inside His courts with plates as mounding praise imparts. Be thankful unto Him I bid, and bless His Holy Name. What Glory as I stand amid His Grace. I'm glad I came. The LORD is good! His Mercy lasts! His Truth endures our days! To every generation casts His Glory's brightest rays! by Jay O'Toole on February 14th, 2017 Happy Valentines' Day, Everyone! ------------------------------------------------ Psalm 100, Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV) A Psalm of praise. "1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. "2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. "3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. "4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. "5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." |
