Promptly Potter Quotes Story/Poem Challenge Day 6

Quote: I want to commit the murder I was imprisoned for.

He acted really rough being in prison but
he knew he had to. He put on a brave front.
He and another guy had fought over a girl
and she wound up dead. Fingers pointed at him.

He was innocent. He loved her and she left him
for the other guy. He quarreled with her and was
the last one to see her alive. Wrong. Her other
lover was the guilty one but he was caught at the scene.

They said he was holding the smoking gun. He was
the one who had found her body and the gun lying
next to her. He did look guilty and he couldn't
prove his innocence. He was serving time for this.

Thinking how she treated him, laughing at him, using
his money and cheating on him with his best friend.
"I want to commit the murder I was imprisoned for."
Too bad he wasn't the one who had killed her.

He would serve his time and hope the other lover would
get caught and be serving his time. The other guy did
confess and there was proof that he did murder her.
Justice at last. He was free to start a new life.
